A late Night!

Last night Tyten had a sleep over at his buddies house, Hayden. Hayden has a little sister Kendall who is Kyah's BFF. We went to drop Tyten off for his sleep over and Kyah off for a play date and we were having such a great visit that we stayed for dinner. Anyway, the point is the girls played really hard and had a great time. Kyah was so excited that she had gone to Kendall that she spent all night rein acting their play date till all hours of the night. Azlynn tried to hang, but had to give in. When Kevin and I went to bed at 11:30p.m. we walked by their room and discovered the light was on, and this is the image we saw (poor Azzy). We put Azlynn in her bed and tucked them both in again. We heard nothing from these sweet princess's room until
1:49 a.m. and they were both up again playing (or they were still awake the whole time.......). So we took Azlynn out of their room and in bed with us. Finally, about 40 minutes later Kyah finally let go and fell asleep. Needless to say that it is 9:33a.m. and she is still sleeping!!!!!!

Kyah's First Blog

So, Tyten will be 7 next week, and Azlynn will be 2 in March and poor Kyah won't be four until July. I plan on giving each of them their own birthday blog, but poor Kyah won't get one for awhile so she is getting a pre birthday blog today.

This is Kendall Kyah's BFF, trying to comfort her, how cute!
OUR BUGGY!!!
What can I say about our Kyah Reign she is such a handful. We think after many nights of beating our heads again a wall that she is the boss of this house! Kevin says "she is just like her Mama"-What ever-. She is such a girly girl. Her favorite color is pink, he second favorite color is pink, and so on, and so on...... If it is possible everything she eats, drinks, touches, smells, has to be pink. She has now started carry a purse (however it black not pink, which is just like mine). I was using a red purse but she found my black purse and her black purse and I was forced to switch. I have been told that I am growing my hair out long like hers. I asked if we could cut her hair and she said, "that is not happen , you will grow yours long like mine (and hurry-MOM".She has informed me that she is growing her hair long like "Rapunzel" She is Azlynn and Tyten's second Mom (Kevin's too). She has her own way about doing everything! If it's not done is such away, it can't be done. She loves Barbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Babies, loves Ariel, and her absolute favorite thing in the world is cloths, everyday she "says can we go shopping, I need to go shopping, MOM we have to go shopping"!!!!!!!! She loves to put things in her mouth still! She chews her finger and toe nail (yuk). She eats her beads off her dresses, and picks at everything. She has to change her cloths at least 8 times a day, it was getting so bad that we had to put a lock on her closet (which is where her dresser is), she was changing her cloths in the dark a few times a night (she could even match in the dark-such talent). She has now figured out how undo the lock, so today I am getting a new lock. After many nights of wondering what we did wrong, I made an appointment with the DR.,

which she confirmed our suspicions"can you say OCD", which at the time was a little scary, but it is now a blessing knowing that she is normal in her very own way. We just have to really be on top of her, and one step ahead. She just a slight indication of OCD, nothing to be worried about. But, it has really help me in understanding HER, I have to really listen to what she wants, and now that I do; it has made her life a lot easier. The DR. had one answer to the problem (that I go and get help for myself from a Shrink), "what nothing is wrong with me", it's this girl who changes her clothes, only eats with a special spoons, lines up all her toys in front of her bed, lines up all her toys on the outside of the bathtub (not allowing her sister to play with any of them), and the most independent person who could ever imagine. I think the DR needs to see a Shrink(not me). All this might be a little scary for those of you who aren't exposed to Kyah on a regular basis however, she is so totally normal, she is just a big ball of fire. I won't trade her for anything, she just takes a few extra tries to find out what will work for her. I think that she should out grow most of these problems and if not I think that her future Husband will have to be just like her Dad, and let her run the show. We love every second we have with our Pretty in Pink Princess, and are glad that we have the tools to help her have a wonder life at 3 1/2. As we speak Kyah is doing my hair, and bossing her sister. LOL

PS If some times my blog doesn't make a lot of since (I don't get much time to proof read them before I am called away), hehe

Don't forget to post your comments on the blog page.

Our First Blog

All right so we are the worst at keeping up with my space and facebook! So, here is an all in one, that I hope I can keep up with. WOW, it is amazing how busy life gets. Well, let me begin apologizing for the lack of The Dow Family Christmas letter and or card. I ran out of time. I was going to try and get out a New Year'sLetter, and again I ran out of time. It seems that time is getting away on me. I guess I will begin our blog with our belated family update.

Kevin- I am not sure who he is lately. He is still working a lot of hours and seems to be gone alot. He is still loving surgery(and is very good at it). He has been working at the Kaiser Hospital for the last couple of months(which is a pain, it's aleast an hour drive one way). The good news is that he only has this drive for a total of 8months(yeah). He is half way through his second year, and half way through the program. We have started looked for our next move. I think I just finished unpacking.... We are considering The Tri-cites, and Spokane which are both in Washington(yeah) I am hoping for Spokane! We think Spokane would be a great fit for our family and still let us being close to my family and a lot closer to Kevin's family.

Tyten- What a good boy.... He started 1st grade this year. I can't believe that he will be seven this month. He is playing hockey again this year and is amazing. We think he is naturally a defender (like Dad) he skates backwards better then all the other kids. He got to try goalie at the Portland Winter Hawks game over the Christmas break. He had his first shutout, but he said he still wants to be a forward, "I like to score goals, MOM". He is just about reading on his own, and enjoys reading Transformers. He is such a big help at home with his sister. He loves to help in the kitchen.

Kyah- That girl keeps us on our toes. She has such a strong personality. She is still all girl, loves pink, has to wear dresses everyday, loves barbies, ponies, and cheerleaders which she calls "cheaters". She started preschool this summer with the most amazing preschool teacher who happens to be really good friend that we found here in Scappoose. She owns the daycare that the girls attend and is just a second MOM to the girls( they love going to school). Kyah knows her ABC, and more songs that I do! She has lots of friends, and want to be at school rather that being at home with me.(which makes me a little sad).

Our Azlynn- I don't know how we got so lucky. She is the most amazing peaceful little angel. She crawled out of her crib at 19months and went into a toddler bed (I cried when we packed away the crib that we have had out for almost 7 years). She loves school too, she has a great time playing with all her little friends. She is full on talking, screaming, and potty training herself (WOW). She wants to be a big girl so bad. She has the cutest little curly dark hair. Her and Kyah are so different ( I love it). She is all girl with her sister and mom, putting makeup on, to brushing hair, and wearing dresses. But, when Tyten and Dad get out the football, she is right there in it. She is our little jock. We love watching her take some of her brother and sister's attributes.

Then their is me, Nicki- I lost my mind last spring and decided to go back to school to work on my nursing degree. I am working on my Anatomy and Chemistry series (which is a full load). I am enjoying school, but it's a crazy life we have. I seem to study a lot at night, and on the weekends which makes our Hockey weekend's even crazier. I am going 3/4 time, and am hoping that I might get into a nursing program sometime next year. I have met some great friends here in our little town. We have really make a great connection here, and I am sad to think that we are going to moving again soon. But, I am very excited to be closer to a Hockey arena, and closer to Kevin's family.

Well, I hope this helps you get a little caught up on our live's, I know I left a lot out. However, I can add to our blog and keep up to date with everyone. Make sure and check our blog often, I am planning on updating it weekly. Love all of you, and miss all of you, The Dow's

PS- Cassie and Lindsey that's for the examples of how great blogs can be!
