Homemade

I am not sure what I was thinking, but I made all the kids their costumes this year. They all turned out well, and the kids loved them. I had a great time, just didn't count on them taking so long. I can't wait until next year. We had a great time.

Kevin sent me this picture, just to let me know that he really does work! I haven't figured out if I should be grossed out or excited. I can say that I am very proud, he looks pretty good dressed up like a real Dr.

Dr. Dow is the only Dr. I would want to check out my smelly feet! LOL!!!!!!!
P.S. ~Yes, he did put this on, hard to believe!

Well, finally I am going to give everyone an updated blog!

As most of you know the kids and I went to Canada for the entire month of August, yes the whole month without DAD! It was a sad day when we left Scappoose and headed North. But, it was such a sweet return that it truly completed our trip. Kevin's mom Hazel flew down to

Portland to spend about a week and half with Kevin, kids, and myself. We had a great time, the kids really enjoyed showing Nana all there friends, and showing her their school's, she even got to see Kyah complete Drama Camp. Hazel also was awesome, and helped me to decoration for the Columbia County Relay for life walk, July 26. We had a great time decorating in a Music theme(she had such great idea's), and I was able to walk a total of 3 hours, which I think was about 3 to 4 miles in less than 8hours! We all had a great time and can't wait to join a team next year in Spokane.

Well, then we began our drive to the great Country of Canada. We left Portland Friday August 1 and drove to the Tri Cities, Washington to check up on best friends Amy and Craig Jenne who are building their huge house that will finally be done in a couple of weeks(we can't wait, we haven't been able to go for a visit since May, we are having seriously "Jenne" withdrawls! The kids and I took Nana to a childhood restaurant that my Grandparents took me too, the last time I was their was when Tyten was 6month and we went with my Grandma. I loved watching the kids having the same experience that I remember... We then headed to Spokane to show Nana are new home town. We spent two nights, and checked out Tyten's new Ice Arena. We found Chucky Cheese (thank goodness), we check out Dad's hospitals, and the area that Daddy wants to buy a house. We had a great time, and I wish we could have spend a week, but we had to get to Nana and Papa's farm the kids were ready to get driving.

More to come about our Fab trip to Cananda, this was just the first week!

I am so excited, Hockey will be at the most a 20 minute drive, and we can have season tickets to the best team The Spokane Chiefs. It is such an amazing feeling knowing that we are only months away from really lay down roots with our amazing kids. The kids are excited to move, and excited about all the fun things there are to due in Spokane. We will keep everyone up to date as we get closer.

Making a decision

Well, most of you know that Kevin and I are in the process of making a very difficult decision. At the beginning of June Kevin was flown out to Spokane, WA to interview with the Rockwood Clinic. He had a great time, and was impressed with the Clinic. In March Kevin and I escaped to Spokane for Hockey tournament (yes, no kids Thanks Mom and Dad) and we checked out the city for 2 1/2 days! We both thought it would be a great place to live. HOWEVER

Two days after he got home from Spokane, both Kevin and I Flew out to Aberdeen, South Dakota(yes I said South Dakota), and I know what your thinking! We were gone for 4 nights, and 3 1/2 days, we had a great time loved the city. We were wined and dinned, it was awesome. We think it would be a great place to raise a family.

So know we have to make a very difficult decision. Kevin thinks both jobs would be great! We will keep everyone posted on where we plain on setting down ROOTS.

I have posted some pictures of trip to South Dakota. We had a condo in a amazing old historic hotel "The Ward", we really enjoyed are stay.

He DiD it.

Some of you might have heard that Kevin got the CHIEF Resident position. We are SO PROUD!!! He has worked so hard. We threw him a blue scrubs party to celebrate is hard work. As you can see in the back ground I spelled Cheif wrong, I had to make that sign 5 times(Kyah kept ripping the banner in half). So, now instead of being the Chief we call him our cheif. And now we on the count down for 1 more year here in P-town.

Potty training

At some point we really need to get rid of the soother. We decided a couple of months ago, that we would potty train first and then work on getting rid of the soother. We must have made the wrong decision. LOL

Our Azzy

Yes, I am a little behind! In March Azlynn had her second Birthday( I can hardly believe it). She is such an amazing little girl. She can out talk both Tyten and Kyah. She loves book, could read all day long. She loves to pretend to be me, and help me scold the other kids. She has these amazing brown eyes, that break your heart. She had a great time at her party, she made sure that everyone new it was her day. We had a great time, we rented the local Gymnastic place. We had the whole place to ourselves. The kids as well as the adults had the time of their lives.

Someone was watching over us today!

At about 11:30 this morning, Tyten's teacher called me again, and said that he was acting out in class(something minor again). At 2:20 she called me again, and said "I have Tyten here in the library, like you asked (which I didn't ask her keep him after school). So, quickly I got the girls out the door and on the road. Just about 1/2 way to the school the Hwy was closed due to an accident( which I couldn't see). I called the school to tell them I would be late in picking up Tyten because of an accident on the Hwy, the school replied with a silence, and then" Mrs. Dow, you can rest a sure that Tyten is safe and sound in the library, but the accident involved his bus.

Scappoose School DistrictScappoose, OR 97056
On Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at approximately 2:30 PM, Scappoose School Bus Route #9 was transporting students on Hwy 30 when it was involved in a motor vehicle accident with a passenger car.We regret to inform you that the driver of the passenger car was fatally injured. The driver was reported to be neither a student nor district staff member. The bus driver and three student passengers were transported to a Portland area hospital with minor injuries. The remaining students were transferred to another school bus and taken to their school. School counselors and support staff were there to assist these students and their parents. As of 9:30 PM on Wednesday evening, all students and the bus driver have been released from the hospital.

Can you even believe that Tyten didn't get on the bus, I am so thankful.. And we are so happy that his friends from school are all okay. Only one student from his class has a broken ankle, and some cuts. It's been the scrariest day of life.

Thank you, Tyten for once again being the class clown!!! I love you.........

First GIg

Tyten had his first Gig on Sunday, he had so much fun. He was actually playing in a band! I couldn't believe what he said when he got home, " Mom, I had a good time, I tried to rock, but my transitition between A, D, and E is a little too slow". I guess you were right I need to practice more. :) I couldn't believe it, he is getting so big, so grown up! I thought I would share some pictures that they took.

Our Princess

Kyah is finally starting to be such an amazing girl. She has out grown the terrible two's and three's(yeah). We have so much fun with her. She loves to shop, do hair(she even does Dad's hair), play with makeup, and loves to change her cloths. We finally got smart and put her dresser in our room, so I have a lot less laundry to do. She loves playing Mommy with Azzy. She is such a little Diva. She known's her ABC, can count to 20, and loves to sing Ariel songs. She is loves Ariel, she talks about her like she is a real person. Her favorite is talking a bath and singing all the Little Mermaid songs(bath time is never long enough). She is so much fun, we are really getting to enjoy her.

Mr T Man

What can say about our supper Star. He finished Hockey last month, and is ready to move up to Mites in the fall. He started getting a little ruff with the other kids towards the end of the season. He said mom, the real Hockey players like to make trouble.. He just started Baseball(pitching Machine), real baseball he says! He loves it, he wants to practice everyday. I am okay with that, except that he out throws me by a mile. He loves his sports. His teacher the other day called him a jock(I was so excited). He is doing great in school, really starting to read (which makes Azlynn very excited she loves books). He started spelling test a couple of months again, and loves our Thrusday nights spelling test with DaD (who couldn't spell told, tonight) Tyten couldn't believe such a old man can't spell... It is really too cute. He just starting taking Gitar lession last month. He has his own Ax (which is an electric Gitar), he is doing very well. He has his first gig on Sunday with two other boys. He loves learning music, and can't wait to play for the ladies(mom girls like boys who play musical instruments) I said yes they do, women like ROCK STARS (especially Auntie Kari). Well, other than sports, music, school, and the ladies Tyten is a pretty busy guy. We are so very proud of him and how much he has grown in the last year. He also helped me with a Chemistry art project in February where we won second prize for Hybrid, car made out of recylced materials.

Finally A Family Update

Hello, to all! Sorry for not posting anything the last couple of months. We have had a very busy winter. But, I should be able to keep up on things.

Kevin- Is still working his butt off. He only has two months left and he is a Third Year Resident!!!! We can't wait. We have started looking at where we are going next year (what a hard decision). I want Spokane, and he thinks he wants Tri Cities, both are in Washington. But, both of us are really open to just about anywhere that has good Hockey.
He has been working so hard he has no time for himself, but I just fixed that. Even though he makes all the money, I bought him the ultimate Treadmill, complete with speakers, Ipod plugs, and it's own T.V. (we just got it delivered today) we both can't wait to us it!

A late Night!

Last night Tyten had a sleep over at his buddies house, Hayden. Hayden has a little sister Kendall who is Kyah's BFF. We went to drop Tyten off for his sleep over and Kyah off for a play date and we were having such a great visit that we stayed for dinner. Anyway, the point is the girls played really hard and had a great time. Kyah was so excited that she had gone to Kendall that she spent all night rein acting their play date till all hours of the night. Azlynn tried to hang, but had to give in. When Kevin and I went to bed at 11:30p.m. we walked by their room and discovered the light was on, and this is the image we saw (poor Azzy). We put Azlynn in her bed and tucked them both in again. We heard nothing from these sweet princess's room until
1:49 a.m. and they were both up again playing (or they were still awake the whole time.......). So we took Azlynn out of their room and in bed with us. Finally, about 40 minutes later Kyah finally let go and fell asleep. Needless to say that it is 9:33a.m. and she is still sleeping!!!!!!

Kyah's First Blog

So, Tyten will be 7 next week, and Azlynn will be 2 in March and poor Kyah won't be four until July. I plan on giving each of them their own birthday blog, but poor Kyah won't get one for awhile so she is getting a pre birthday blog today.

This is Kendall Kyah's BFF, trying to comfort her, how cute!
OUR BUGGY!!!
What can I say about our Kyah Reign she is such a handful. We think after many nights of beating our heads again a wall that she is the boss of this house! Kevin says "she is just like her Mama"-What ever-. She is such a girly girl. Her favorite color is pink, he second favorite color is pink, and so on, and so on...... If it is possible everything she eats, drinks, touches, smells, has to be pink. She has now started carry a purse (however it black not pink, which is just like mine). I was using a red purse but she found my black purse and her black purse and I was forced to switch. I have been told that I am growing my hair out long like hers. I asked if we could cut her hair and she said, "that is not happen , you will grow yours long like mine (and hurry-MOM".She has informed me that she is growing her hair long like "Rapunzel" She is Azlynn and Tyten's second Mom (Kevin's too). She has her own way about doing everything! If it's not done is such away, it can't be done. She loves Barbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Babies, loves Ariel, and her absolute favorite thing in the world is cloths, everyday she "says can we go shopping, I need to go shopping, MOM we have to go shopping"!!!!!!!! She loves to put things in her mouth still! She chews her finger and toe nail (yuk). She eats her beads off her dresses, and picks at everything. She has to change her cloths at least 8 times a day, it was getting so bad that we had to put a lock on her closet (which is where her dresser is), she was changing her cloths in the dark a few times a night (she could even match in the dark-such talent). She has now figured out how undo the lock, so today I am getting a new lock. After many nights of wondering what we did wrong, I made an appointment with the DR.,

which she confirmed our suspicions"can you say OCD", which at the time was a little scary, but it is now a blessing knowing that she is normal in her very own way. We just have to really be on top of her, and one step ahead. She just a slight indication of OCD, nothing to be worried about. But, it has really help me in understanding HER, I have to really listen to what she wants, and now that I do; it has made her life a lot easier. The DR. had one answer to the problem (that I go and get help for myself from a Shrink), "what nothing is wrong with me", it's this girl who changes her clothes, only eats with a special spoons, lines up all her toys in front of her bed, lines up all her toys on the outside of the bathtub (not allowing her sister to play with any of them), and the most independent person who could ever imagine. I think the DR needs to see a Shrink(not me). All this might be a little scary for those of you who aren't exposed to Kyah on a regular basis however, she is so totally normal, she is just a big ball of fire. I won't trade her for anything, she just takes a few extra tries to find out what will work for her. I think that she should out grow most of these problems and if not I think that her future Husband will have to be just like her Dad, and let her run the show. We love every second we have with our Pretty in Pink Princess, and are glad that we have the tools to help her have a wonder life at 3 1/2. As we speak Kyah is doing my hair, and bossing her sister. LOL

PS If some times my blog doesn't make a lot of since (I don't get much time to proof read them before I am called away), hehe

Don't forget to post your comments on the blog page.
